where do i start

Where do I start, where do I begin
How do I take that first step
How do I find the courage to do me

For I have been down for so long
That I no longer know the direction of up
But I'm determined to make it there

I will make it through these adversities
I am going to rise beyond these circumstances
For they are just obstacles in my mind.

Where do I start, where do I begin
When is it the right time
Or is that moment just a dream

Hidden by the façade I live
The mask that I wear
To hide the shame of defeat

But I am rising beyond those adversities
Making my way around those obstacles
Because I create the outcome of my circumstances.

Is there a defining moment that I gota relive
Inorder to be able to start all over again

For I've made peace with my failures
And I cherish all of my successes
Make peace with yours before it's too late

Because the time has come for me to move on
And take that first step from my circumstances
Because all of my adversities are a choice.

How do I go about archiving my dreams
Or do I continue my journey and all shall fall into place

So starting from today I choose to do me
Because no one is going to do exactly that for me
So I vow to put myself first

No longer shall I ever live that life I once lived
Everyday shall be a defining moment
Because I have finally awoken from my self pity n wallowing.

What ever time I choose to ultimately start
What ever time I choose to ultimately begin
It is that old me you will all wish was still here

But he will no longer be there, he shall never be available
Because you were unable to see his worth when he was around
For now you will still be wishing I was still that old him

When does it all start, when does it all begin
Because I can't wait any longer to start my journey to freedom
Heaven here I come, for i am leaving it all behind me
