I would rather be a good man
Than a great king
I would rather be known for good deeds
Than the greatest deeds

Better a man
Than a king
Better a person
Than royalty

Judge me not for my choices
But rather of my deeds
For you judge
And I judge not

I would rather be a good man
Than a great king
I would rather be humble
Than revered for great deeds

I am man
I am individual
And my accomplishments
A not a fluke

I do them for me
I am building my own legacy
From the greatest
I just want to be remembered

So I would rather be a good man
Then to be known as a great king
I am nothing but a man
And will never be nothing more
