I have taken time to recollect

To look at my own life

And made peace with my demons

Flatten my soul

Overjoyed am I
For the living that you bring

Captivated a King
And turned him into a beggar

Begging for your love
For lost he felt without it

And so today I extend this hand
In apology of my wild ways

For I acted like a mad man
Only because I was mad

Madly in love I was
Driven crazy by you

For you
Are the one I dreamt of

And so I take of my crown for you
In the hopes that you may see

The sincerity of my words
